Governance & Operations Coordinator

Job description
JA British Columbia seeks an experienced Governance & Operations Coordinator to provide administrative support for governance, executive functions, office operations, HR, and employee engagement. The role requires coordinating Board meetings, supporting the President & CEO, and managing daily office logistics in a hybrid capacity.
Hard requirements
  • Post-secondary degree, diploma, or certificate in business administration, office administration, nonprofit management, or related field, or equivalent education and experience.
  • 3-5 years of progressively responsible administrative, executive support, office coordination, or similar experience.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting senior leadership and/or Boards or Committees; direct Board or Committee support experience is strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience preparing meeting materials and recording clear, accurate meeting minutes.
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft 365 applications, including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Teams, and SharePoint.
  • Experience handling confidential information and coordinating multiple recurring deadlines and stakeholders with limited supervision.
  • Experience in a nonprofit environment and familiarity with BC society governance.
Pay & benefits
  • $58,000-$63,000 annually, commensurate with experience and internal equity.
  • Extended benefits after three months.
  • RRSP contributions after four years of service.
  • Three weeks' vacation to start.
Work format
  • Full-time (37.5 hours/week, Monday to Friday).
  • Hybrid work model with 2-3 days per week in the downtown Vancouver office.
  • Permanent employment type.
