Synergy Protection Group Inc. is on the lookout for experienced and dedicated Security Guards to become a part of our dynamic, hardworking, and rapidly growing team in Ottawa, Ontario!
Positions: Casual Requirements:
1 year of security experience A MUST
Valid Ontario Security License
Valid Full G Driver's License

As a Security Guard, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and security of our clients and their premises.
You?ll be the first point of contact for many, and your friendly demeanor and vigilance will make a lasting impression.
Key Responsibilities
Investigates security breaches, incidents, and other alarming behavior
Completes reports by recording observations, information, occurrences, and surveillance activities
Patrolling and monitoring designated areas
Interacting with the public with a customer service approach to security
Enforcing the Trespass to Property Act.
Looking out for instances such as threatening, fraudulent, and rude behavior
Escalating and assisting law enforcement as required
Completing incident reports and required documentation for all security incidents EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE ? What you will bring?
Valid Ontario Security License
Minimum 1 years of security experience
Ability to standing/walking for long periods of time (12 hour shifts)
Ability to perform patrols by foot and respond to situations in a reasonable timeframe
Ability to work with people who are under stress or in need of medical assistance
Excellent analytical and observational skills
Ability to orient self/learn about the client site and services provided
Comprehensive knowledge of common security policies and various related Acts, codes and legislation including the Criminal Code, the Trespass to Property Act, the Fire Code and WHMIS
Ability to react to and resolve emergency and crisis situations in a proper manner
Demonstrated ability in preparing and maintaining clear, concise, and legible security reports and detailed records
Highly developed interpersonal and customer-service skills, including conflict resolution, problem-solving, decision making, situational assessment and communication skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both English
Must pass a vulnerable sector background check.
