Senior Platform Analyst - Database Services (Cloud/DBaaS)
Job description
Senior Database Administrator responsible for administering enterprise Oracle and SQL Server environments, leading cloud migrations to Azure, and developing automation for the Bank's Database-as-a-Service platform.
Hard requirements
- Significant hands-on experience administering enterprise Oracle and SQL Server databases in production.
- Demonstrated hands-on experience implementing, administering or migrating production workloads on cloud database platforms such as Azure SQL Managed Instance and/or Oracle Database@Azure.
- Proven experience executing or leading production database migrations from on-premises to cloud.
- Experience designing and operating high availability and disaster recovery solutions, including SQL Server Always On Availability Groups and Oracle RAC and/or Data Guard.
- Experience developing or maintaining database automation using scripts, infrastructure as code, pipelines or templated deployments.
- Strong knowledge of performance tuning, monitoring, backup, recovery, security, data protection and production incident resolution.
- Eligible to obtain Secret security clearance.
- Canadian citizen or permanent resident.
Pay & benefits
- Salaries typically range from $111,051 to $130,649 (job grade 17).
- Incentive for meeting expectations at 7 to 10% of base salary.
- Additional performance pay (5%) for exceeding expectations; higher pay for exceptional performers.

Work format
- Term position until December 31st, 2027.
- Hybrid work model with a minimum of 12 days per month on site in Ottawa (Downtown), ON, CA.
- On-call rotation required with additional compensation.
