Duties
The Construction Miner is a skilled underground tradesperson responsible for building, installing, and maintaining mine infrastructure, including ground support, shotcrete, concrete work, and mine services. The role also involves cost management leadership, overseeing project budgets, forecasts, and cost reports while ensuring safety compliance.
Hard requirements
- Skilled underground tradesperson with experience in construction tasks such as ground support installation, shotcrete application, and concrete work.
- Ability to read, interpret, and build to civil and construction drawings, standard work procedures, and project specifications.
- Experience conducting workplace examinations, scaling loose ground, and installing ground support (bolts, screen, strapping) per site plans.
- Proficiency operating hand-held pneumatic drills (jacklegs and stopers) and rubber-tired underground mobile equipment (LHD units, scissor lifts, boom trucks, shotcrete sprayers).
- Ability to provide leadership and oversight of project cost control activities, including budget integrity, forecasts, and variance analysis.
- Commitment to safety and adherence to the Cementation Safety Management System (CSMS) and applicable legislation.
Pay & benefits
- $70 - $74 per hour
