Job description

The District of Saanich is seeking a strategic, collaborative, and technically accomplished Manager of Infrastructure Planning & Analysis to lead the long-term planning, renewal, and performance analysis of the District's water, sanitary sewer, and storm drainage systems. This leadership role establishes clear direction for the section balancing strategic priorities and system operational functionality, champions continuous improvement, leads staff through change with collaboration and transparency, and seeks to optimize team resources to effectively deliver results.

Hard requirements

Bachelor of Applied Science in Civil Engineering or a related field
Registration as a Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) with Engineers and Geoscientists BC
Minimum of eight (8) years of progressive, related experience focused on water resources engineering
Demonstrated management and leadership experience, including supervising, coaching, and guiding high functioning employees
Strong knowledge of municipal civil-infrastructure specifically water, sanitary sewer, and drainage systems; relevant legislation, bylaws, standards, and policies; procurement and contract administration; project management and occupational health and safety practices
Excellent communication, report-writing, stakeholder-engagement skills
Experience with hydraulic and hydrologic modelling and PMP certification are valued assets
An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered

Pay & benefits

Annual salary range of $136,795 - $160,965 (2026 rate)
Competitive total compensation package including benefits

Work format

Monday to Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. (35 hours per week)
