Job description
The Website Manager is responsible for the technical development and functioning of a global e-commerce, multilingual and multi-currency Wordpress/Woocommerce website with 1500 products, 300 content pages, and 82 plugins. This role involves managing full-time inhouse website developers and ensuring the highest standard of technical functioning while working closely with the Marketing Manager.
Hard requirements
- Knowledge of WordPress/Woocommerce action hooks and filters because 16 of the 82 plugins are custom manipulations of the remaining 66 plugins.
- Knowledge and experience with LAMP (Linux, Apache, mySQL, PHP) stack web hosting to be able to debug and communicate hosting adjustment requests to Cloudways.com.
- High-level Full Stack Developer who specializes in deep-level customization of the WordPress and WooCommerce ecosystems.
- Code-First Software Engineer comfortable diving into core files to understand logic and write elegant, non-destructive custom plugins.
- Ability to build bespoke, high-performance WordPress themes and plugins from the ground up using PHP.
- Use Action Hooks and Filters to extend or modify the behavior of WordPress core, WooCommerce, and third-party plugins without modifying their source code.
- Self-motivated individual who takes ownership of responsibilities, manages time with discipline, and follows through.
Pay & benefits
- Salary: $90000 ? $110,000 (commensurate with experience)
- Full?Time, salaried role.
Work format
- Normal business hours are 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday to Friday.
- Employees are expected to be consistently available during core business hours and to devote the time necessary to meet their commitments.
- The role may require additional flexibility during peak periods, balanced by sound judgment and long?term sustainability.
- Permanent, Full?Time status.
