structural steel fitter
Duties
This role involves determining materials, laying out reference points, assembling and fitting plates to form structures, and welding or bolting sections together. It also includes cutting, shaping, and fitting materials while following safety procedures and performing light housekeeping.
Hard requirements
- Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
- 2 years to less than 3 years of experience
- Physically demanding work capability
- Manual dexterity and hand-eye co-ordination
- Attention to detail
- Organized, reliable, accurate, and good time management
- Team player with strong values and ethics
