Job description
Parsons seeks a CBA - Water Treatment Operator I for the Faro Mine Site to operate and maintain water treatment plant equipment and related facilities. Local candidates are preferred, but fly-in/fly-out rotational candidates are considered.
Hard requirements
- Valid class 5 driver’s license required
- Previous water treatment, process or industrial experience preferred
- Both off pavement and winter driving experience preferred
- Mechanical aptitude is an asset
- Willingness to work in both indoor and outdoor environments
- Willingness to work in a remote northern community
- Willingness to work in a team environment
- Understanding of time management
- Able to lift, pull, stand, or crouch for long periods of time (physically fit)
- Capable of the safe handling of lime and other chemicals
- Ability to lift 25 kg
- Familiar with computer skills -Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, etc.)
- Proven understanding of safe work practices and mitigating risk
- Ability to work with little supervision and function in a multidiscipline environment
Pay & benefits
- Hourly wage is $30.92
- LOA allowance provided

Work format
- Shifts of 2 weeks on and 2 weeks off
- 12 hours per shift, including days and nights
- Remote northern community (Faro Mine Site)
