Job description
Lead Data Scientist to develop machine learning foundations and implement AI products for Fraser Health. You will analyze large datasets, guide developers, and communicate strategic recommendations to leadership.
Hard requirements
- PHD in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science or another quantitative field (or equivalent combination of education/training/experience)
- 5-7 years of experience working with large datasets and machine learning models
- Experience with Generative AI and Large Language Models is preferred
- Advanced skills in AI product design and quantitative data analysis
- Thorough knowledge of data mining, statistical methods, and machine learning principles
- Proficiency with advanced machine learning methods and software packages
- Knowledge of statistical techniques including GLM/Regression, Random Forest, Boosting, Neural networks, etc.
- Experience writing code and querying databases using Python, SQL, R, etc.
- Experience using web services such as Redshift, S3, Spark, DigitalOcean
- Experience with distributed data/computing tools like Map/Reduce, Hadoop, AWS, Hive, Spark, Gurobi, MySQL
- Experience visualizing/presenting data using Jupyter, Matplotlib, D3, ggplot, Periscope, Business Objects
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and work collaboratively in an interdisciplinary environment
Pay & benefits
- Salary range: CAD $55.25 - $79.42 / hour
