Job description
This role involves interpreting engineering drawings, laying out reference points, and assembling and fitting metal structures. The position requires setting up heavy-duty metal-working machines, welding or bolting sections, and installing fabricated components in a noisy, dusty outdoor environment at heights.
Hard requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
  • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience
  • Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate
  • Welding techniques including MIG, TIG, and Gas metal arc welding (GMAW)
  • Specialization in Structural metal or steel or Platework
  • Criminal record check
  • Own transportation
  • Physically demanding work with manual dexterity and hand-eye co-ordination
  • Steel-toed safety boots
