Job description
Vancouver School Board seeks an experienced Manager, Labour Relations to provide day-to-day operational leadership in a complex, unionized public-sector environment. The role involves advising leaders on labour matters and managing relationships with unions and stakeholders.
Hard requirements
- Progressive Labour Relations/Employee Relations experience in a complex, unionized environment
- Strong experience with collective bargaining and collective agreement interpretation/administration
- Experience managing grievances, arbitration, investigations, discipline and performance matters
- Strong knowledge of applicable employment/labour legislation
- Experience advising senior leaders and working effectively with union representatives
- Leadership, coaching or mentoring experience
- Excellent communication, judgement, organization and problem-solving skills
- 7 years of Labour Relations Manager experience (required)
Pay & benefits
- $110,000.00-$149,563.95 per year
- Employer-provided relocation package available for required commute/relocation to Vancouver, BC V6J 5K8
