Planner II within the Special Projects Office, advancing projects like the Broadway Plan and Northeast False Creek Plan through policy development and implementation. The role involves liaising with City departments, external agencies, and stakeholders to manage work programs, budgets, and complex planning tasks.
Hard requirements
- Post-secondary degree in Planning recognized by the Canadian Institute of Planners
- Minimum of 2 years professional work in policy planning and project management
- Experience supervising and mentoring staff (desirable)
- Membership or eligibility for membership in Canadian Institute of Planners (desirable)
- Demonstrated understanding of City planning processes
- Detailed knowledge and experience of developing and interpreting City planning policies and regulations, including zoning by-laws
- Strong project management skills
