water utility operator
Job description
Operate disinfection, filtration, clarification, oxidation, pumping, and computerized control systems to regulate water treatment and sewage disposal. Monitor plant equipment, collect and test samples, maintain logs, and assist with equipment installation and repairs.
Hard requirements
- Other trades certificate or diploma
- 1 year to less than 2 years experience
- Water wastewater operator Certification
- CPR Certificate
- Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG) Certificate
- Water Distribution Certificate (Levels I, II, III or IV)
- Water Treatment Certificate (Levels I, II, III or IV)
- Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate
- Criminal record check
- Driving record check (abstract)
- Valid driver's licence
