Job description
The City of Nanaimo seeks a permanent full-time Fire Training Technician to support the training academy, accreditation, curriculum development, and facility maintenance.
Hard requirements
- Diploma in a relevant discipline (e.g., Emergency Services, Fire Science) supplemented with fire service courses
- Minimum 3 years' experience working in the fire service
- Valid Class 5 BC Driver's License
Pay & benefits
- Starting salary of $36.16 per hour (Training Technician 1st 6 months - 2026 rate)
- Future increments and other benefits in accordance with the Collective Agreement
