Job description
Prepare estimates of labour and material costs, read blueprints, and advise on tendering procedures. Liaise with engineers, architects, owners, contractors and subcontractors on changes to cost estimates.
Hard requirements
- 3 years to less than 5 years experience
- Other trades certificate or diploma, Mechanical engineering/mechanical technology/technician, Electrical/electronics drafting and electrical/electronics CAD/CADD, Construction trades general, or Plumbing technology/plumber education
- Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate
- Knowledge of estimating packages, Spreadsheet, AutoCAD, MS Project, MS Excel, MS Word
