civil engineering technician
Job description
Read blueprints, conduct field surveys and inspections, and supervise construction material testing for water resources projects. Requires 3-5 years of experience in civil engineering with a college diploma.
Hard requirements
- College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years
- 3 years to less than 5 years of experience
- Valid driver's licence
- Willing to travel
- Knowledge of Geographic Information System (GIS), GPS, AutoCAD, MS Excel, MS Outlook, MS Project, and MS Word
- Experience with drainage and irrigation systems, sewers and sewage treatment facilities, and water control systems
- Ability to handle heavy loads, work under pressure, and meet tight deadlines
