Job description
The Trades Foreperson 2 supervises skilled trades in the installation, repair, and maintenance of traffic signs and road markings. The role involves planning work, training employees, monitoring safety adherence, preparing budgets, and maintaining equipment.
Hard requirements
- High school graduation with technical courses or equivalent combination of training and experience
- Considerable related experience including some in a supervisory capacity
- Thorough knowledge of sign manufacturing materials, equipment, processes, road marking materials, procedures, regulations, and specifications
- Knowledge of SAP and Infor processes, occupational hazards, safety practices, municipal standards, by-laws, TAC Manual, and Traffic Control Manual
- Ability to plan, schedule, assign, supervise work, establish working relationships, and read/interpret plans and blueprints
- Skill in use of machinery, materials, equipment, tools, and computerized maintenance systems
- Driver?s License for the Province of British Columbia, Class 5
Pay & benefits
- Salary: $52.66 - 54.77 - 57.29 - 59.60/hour
- Subject to Note ?F? of Schedule ?B? of the CUPE 23 Foreperson?s Division Collective Agreement
Work format
- Regular Full Time
- 80 hours bi-weekly; Monday to Friday from 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM
- Flexibility to respond to emergency calls during off-shift hours when ?on-call? and work overtime evenings and weekends as required
