Job description
West Vancouver Transit is seeking a permanent full-time Transit Operator to safely operate transit vehicles, demonstrate customer service excellence, and ensure passenger safety and comfort. The role involves exercising sound judgment while working under established policies and procedures in a complex environment.
Hard requirements
- Minimum Class 2 Driver's Licence with air brake endorsement
- Driver's abstract and claims history demonstrating safe, reliable legal driving
- Experience operating a bus, truck, or similar vehicle
- Demonstrated ability to deal effectively with the public
- Acceptable Police Information Check with Vulnerable Sector
- Copy of credentials
Pay & benefits
- $36.38 per hour for the first six months after training
- $39.12 per hour thereafter

Work format

- Hours vary based on a sign-up system
- All shifts start and end on the North Shore
