Job description
Recreation Programmer in ECC Aquatic Services assisting a supervisor in planning, developing, scheduling, coordinating, and implementing recreational, social, and cultural programs. The role involves supervising program staff, establishing liaison with contacts, promoting participation, and monitoring budgets.
Hard requirements
  • Graduation from a community college in a related field plus sound related experience including some supervisory experience or equivalent combination of training and experience
  • Sound knowledge of recreational interests, needs, resources, policies, procedures, rules, regulations, teaching methods, and group leadership techniques
  • Ability to plan, develop, schedule, coordinate, and implement aquatic recreational programs
  • Ability to establish effective working relationships with external and internal contacts
  • Ability to hire and train staff, plan, assign, supervise, check, evaluate work, recruit and train volunteers, and assist in preparation and monitoring of program budgets
  • Driver?s License for the Province of British Columbia
  • Police Information Check may be required
Pay & benefits
  • $37.09 - 38.65 - 40.26 - 41.93 - 43.65/hour
  • Subject to Note ?Y? of Schedule ?B? of the CUPE 23 Inside Division Collective Agreement

  • 80 hours bi-weekly; Sunday to Thursday from 11:00 AM - 7:30 PM (Mutual Agreement between Monday to Sunday, 6:00 AM - 11:00PM)
